RS Email Verifier Overview

Learn how RS Email Verifier classifies addresses before you import a list into a sending workflow.

RS Email Verifier is a local-first desktop application for assessing email addresses before a campaign. It combines syntax, rule, DNS, and SMTP signals and returns one of four explainable states: valid, invalid, risky, or unknown.

The application is designed for email operations, growth, deliverability, and data teams working with anything from a small contact file to a long-running batch.

Where it fits

Use RS Email Verifier between list acquisition and campaign preparation:

  1. Import or enter addresses.
  2. Choose a verification depth.
  3. Review status, risk score, reason, and risk details.
  4. Filter or export an audience appropriate for your policy.
  5. Import that audience into your sending platform.

RS Email Verifier is a standalone product. It does not automatically transfer records to RSender.

Local-first processing

Task data and results are persisted locally. Basic checks do not require network access. DNS and SMTP PRO checks contact external infrastructure only as required by the selected method.

For SMTP probing, the application performs protocol-level checks up to the recipient command. It does not enter the message-data stage and does not send an email.

The four result states

  • Valid: the selected method found a positive signal, such as a reachable MX and an accepting recipient response.
  • Invalid: a strong failure was found, such as malformed syntax, no mail server, or a recipient-not-found response.
  • Risky: the address may work, but one or more signals reduce confidence, such as a role mailbox, typo pattern, or catch-all behavior.
  • Unknown: the application could not reach a reliable conclusion, often because a lookup timed out, a proxy failed, or a remote server returned an inconclusive response.

The result is evidence for list policy—not a promise of future delivery. Provider behavior, mailbox state, sender reputation, and recipient policy can change after verification.
