Settings, Add-ons, and Troubleshooting

Manage application policy, backups, optional hosted services, updates, and safe diagnostics.

Settings areas

RSender groups operational preferences into:

  • general language, theme, and startup behavior;
  • activation and device state;
  • team or role settings available in the current version;
  • global send strategy;
  • compliance and audit behavior;
  • notification thresholds;
  • data export, backup, and restore;
  • version and update information.

Review settings after installation, before a large campaign, and after restoring a backup.

Add-ons

Optional hosted services are activated with a service-specific code and have their own entitlement status:

  • hosted unsubscribe;
  • hosted web-view and preference pages;
  • open and click tracking;
  • branded tracking domain;
  • webhook delivery.

Redeem the code in the matching add-on card. After activation, confirm the entitlement and expiration state, then run an end-to-end test. A product activation code and an add-on code are not interchangeable.

If a hosted entitlement expires, test templates and compliance paths before the next send. Do not leave a message dependent on a URL that recipients cannot use.

Backup and restore

Use the built-in backup workflow and store the file in an access-controlled location. Back up before an update, migration, or material configuration change.

After restore:

  1. reopen the application;
  2. check license and add-on state;
  3. inspect domains, senders, suppressions, and strategies;
  4. test SMTP credentials and hosted links;
  5. run a small campaign before production traffic.

Backups and exports can contain confidential audience, infrastructure, and operational data.

Updates

Finish or pause active work, export critical reports, and create a backup before installing an update. Afterward, check the application version and repeat a bounded send test.

Common troubleshooting

A campaign will not start

Check activation state, preflight blockers, sender status, domain authentication, enabled templates, recipient count, unsubscribe source, and global queue state.

Messages remain queued

Check whether the campaign, account, or global queue is paused; inspect the sending window; review SMTP responses; and confirm automatic throttling state.

SMTP authentication fails

Retest the account, verify host, port, TLS mode, username, and credential, then check provider-side access controls.

Hosted links or tracking are degraded

Confirm the entitlement, event-service health, configured base URL or branded domain, and network access. Pause affected marketing sending if unsubscribe access is not dependable.

Data looks inconsistent after restore

Compare backup time, import reports, current filters, subscription state, and suppression counts before changing records.

Safe diagnostics

Use Export diagnostics and review the file before sharing. Redact activation codes, add-on codes, SMTP or proxy secrets, recipient addresses, message content, and private keys.

Deliverability and Reports

Analyze outcomes by campaign, flow, sender, domain, and time, then turn findings into controlled changes.
