Email Templates
Build reusable subjects and HTML content with variables, dynamic blocks, headers, and unsubscribe access.
Templates separate reusable content from campaign audience and send strategy.
Create a template
- Open Email Templates.
- Create a template and choose an appropriate category.
- Enter a descriptive internal name and subject.
- Compose or import the supported HTML content.
- Insert built-in or custom variables.
- Configure supported custom headers and dynamic content.
- Add a visible unsubscribe path.
- Preview and test with representative data.
- Enable the template when it is ready for campaign selection.
Disabled templates remain available for editing but are not eligible for enabled-template strategies.
Variables
Variables can personalize standard fields and provide service URLs. Use the exact syntax offered by the editor. Common service variables include unsubscribe, web-view, or preference URLs when their required source or add-on is configured.
For every variable:
- confirm the source field exists;
- define a safe fallback for optional personalization;
- test characters, long values, and missing data;
- avoid placing untrusted values into sensitive HTML attributes.
Dynamic content
Dynamic blocks choose content according to recipient fields. Keep conditions understandable and test both matching and non-matching contacts. A campaign should still make sense when an optional field is absent.
Custom headers
Add only headers required by your provider or compliance design. Do not duplicate headers managed by RSender or the SMTP service. Test the final received message rather than relying only on editor preview.
Unsubscribe access
Marketing content should include a clear recipient-facing unsubscribe link. RSender can source this from configured local or hosted behavior and can add supported list-unsubscribe headers. Complete suppression and unsubscribe setup before production use.
Test checklist
- subject and preheader;
- From and Reply-To identity;
- desktop and mobile rendering;
- plain or degraded rendering behavior;
- every variable and link;
- unsubscribe action;
- tracking behavior if enabled;
- authentication in the received message.
Next: create a campaign.
